All molds are FDA approved, high quality, plastic and can be used multiple times with proper care. They can not go in the oven, dishwasher or microwave.
Chocolate molds (clear plastic) can be used for chocolate, soap, polymer clay, plaster, ice, butter and other low temperature mediums. Hard candy molds (white plastic) require a release agent and can be used for higher temperature mediums such as hard candy or wax embeds.
Sometimes the hard candy mold can appear to be discolored around the edges (not the cavity). This is from the manufacturing process and will likely come off during a normal washing. This does not effect the cavities or the function of the mold.
